Sue began teaching at The Children’s School in 2000! She has a Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Curriculum from St. Michael’s College. She is a well-rounded teacher but concentrates on developing reading, art, and music skills. Sue values the cooperative pre-school model. “I have known many of the children I teach today since they were infants. I enjoy when my former students return and I can see how they have grown and changed. I see myself as a guide. This is the first school experience for many children and their first time away from the home environment. I enjoy helping students navigate new experiences.”
Christina, a Vermont licensed teacher, was raised in rural Connecticut and got a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education at Keene State College. After working in a toddler and preschool center at Keene State, Christina began teaching at The Children's School in 2006 where she is dedicated to its educational philosophy, NAEYC accreditation, beautiful classrooms, and the parent cooperative model. “Young children thrive in a caring, nurturing environment where they are encouraged to explore, develop positive relationships, be creative, experience the joy of learning and to gain a sense of community.”

Allie was raised in Washington D.C. and moved to Burlington to study studio art and art history at the University of Vermont. As she worked at a paint-your-own-pottery, she was inspired to begin a career in education by children's creativity, imagination, and sincerity. She became a substitute preschool teacher and moved on to become an assistant toddler teacher at a local preschool. In 2014, Allie found The Children's School and could not be happier to join the community. Allie's artistic and musical talents enrich the children's experiences at our school.
